August 20, 2024: Tifton, GA 31794 In Tuesday's non-league match, the host Tift County Blue Devils softball team scored a tight 4-1 win over the Cook Hornets.
The Blue Devils (6-2) will now prepare for their match against Lowndes (Valdosta, GA). The Vikings come into the 6A Region 1 match with a 5-3 record. In their last match, Lowndes nipped Bacon County (Alma, GA), 6-1, in a non-league match.
In their next game, the Hornets confront the Valdosta Wildcats (Valdosta, GA) in a non-league match, on Thursday, August 22. Cook will attempt to better on its 8-1 season record. The Wildcats come into the match with a 2-2 record after their 24-10 non-league win over Dougherty (Albany, GA).
