California High School Football - Newport Harbor tops Murrieta Mesa
August 20, 2025: Murrieta, CA 92562 The Newport Harbor Sailors football squad scored 48 points and limited the host Murrieta Mesa Rams to 24 in the Sailors non-league triumph on Wednesday.
The Sailors now hold a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Lancaster for a non-league test on Thursday, August 28. Newport Harbor will meet a Eagles squad coming off a 41-0 non-league loss to Orange Lutheran (Orange, CA). The Eagles record now stands at 0-1.
With the defeat, Murrieta Mesa moves to 0-1 on the season. The Rams host Vista Murrieta (Murrieta, CA) to face the Broncos in a non-league challenge on Thursday, August 28. The Broncos go into the challenge with a record of 1-0. Vista Murrieta won 43-8 in their recent league challenge against Great Oak (Temecula, CA)
