August 20, 2025: Raleigh, NC 27605 Broughton Capitals (Raleigh, NC) boosters left the game satisfied Wednesday as they saw their volleyball squad edge the visiting Sanderson Spartans (Raleigh, NC), 2-1 in a non-league test.
With the win, Broughton improves its record to 2-1 on the season. The Capitals travel to Willow Spring (Fuquay-Varina, NC) to face the Storm in a non-league test on Thursday, August 21. The Storm go into the test with a record of 1-2. Willow Spring lost 2-1 in their recent non-league test against Holly Springs (Holly Springs, NC)
The Spartans now own a 2-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Rolesville for a non-league test on Thursday, August 21. Sanderson will face a Rams squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Sanderson (Raleigh, NC). The Rams record now stands at 0-2.
