August 21, 2023: Kernersville, NC 27284 The crowd at Monday's non-league bout between the Southwestern Randolph Cougars (Asheboro, NC) and the host Bishop McGuinness Villains (Kernersville, NC), saw Southwestern Randolph's volleyball squad nip Bishop McGuinness by a tally of 2-1.
With the win, Southwestern Randolph upgrades its record to 1-1 on the year. The Cougars travel to Asheboro (Asheboro, NC) to play the Blue Comets in a non-league bout on Monday, August 28. The Blue Comets go into the bout with a record of 1-4. Asheboro won 2-0 in their recent non-league bout against Wheatmore (Trinity, NC)
The Villains now own a 0-2 record. They play next when they travel to Millennium for a non-league bout on Tuesday, August 22. Bishop McGuinness will play a Lions squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to South Stokes (Walnut Cove, NC). The Lions record now stands at 1-1.
