Mississippi High School Volleyball - West Harrison over Resurrection Catholic
August 21, 2023: Gulfport, MS 39503 West Harrison Hurricanes (Gulfport, MS) supporters left the game in high spirits Monday as they observed their volleyball squad top the visiting Resurrection Catholic Eagles (Pascagoula, MS), 3-0 in a non-league match.
Next up, the Hurricanes clash with the Picayune Maroon Tide (Picayune, MS) in a Class 5 Region 7 match, on Tuesday, August 22. West Harrison will attempt to advance on its 6-2 season record. The Maroon Tide come into the match with a 1-7 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Poplarville (Poplarville, MS).
With the loss, Resurrection Catholic drops to 2-5 on the campaign. The Eagles host East Marion (Columbia, MS) to battle the Eagles in a Class 1 Region 8 contest on Thursday, August 24. The Eagles go into the contest with a record of 8-1. East Marion won 3-0 in their recent league contest against Sacred Heart (Hattiesburg, MS)
