August 21, 2024: Waxhaw, NC 28173 Marvin Ridge Mavericks (Waxhaw, NC) backers exited the stadium pleased Wednesday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Monroe Redhawks (Monroe, NC), 6-0 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, Marvin Ridge advances its record to 4-1 on the campaign. The Mavericks host Charlotte Catholic (Charlotte, NC) to clash with the Cougars in a non-league test on Tuesday, August 27. The Cougars come into the test with a record of 0-0.
The Redhawks now have a 0-2 record. They take the field next when they host Porter Ridge for a non-league test on Monday, August 26. Monroe will clash with a Pirates team coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Richmond (Rockingham, NC). The Pirates record now stands at 2-2.
