August 21, 2024: Albany, GA 31707 The Westover Patriots edged the visiting Mitchell County Eagles softball squad by a count of 1-0 in Wednesday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Patriots meet the Cairo Syrupmakers (Cairo, GA) in a 3A Region 1 challenge, on Tuesday, August 27. Westover will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record.
The Eagles (0-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Miller County (Colquitt, GA). The Pirates enter the 1A D-II Region 1 challenge with a 5-2 record. In their last challenge, Miller County edged Brookstone (Columbus, GA), 8-4, in a non-league challenge.
