Ohio High School Soccer - Greenon knocks off Catholic Central
August 21, 2025: Springfield, OH 45502 Greenon Knights (Springfield, OH) backers exited the stadium pleased Thursday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Catholic Central Irish (Springfield, OH), 5-0 in a league test.
With the triumph, Greenon advances its record to 1-1 on the campaign. The Knights host West Carrollton (West Carrollton, OH) to clash with the Pirates in a non-league test on Saturday, August 23. The Pirates come into the test with a record of 0-1. West Carrollton lost 10-0 in their recent league test against Butler (Vandalia, OH)
The Irish now have a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they host West Liberty-Salem for a Ohio Heritage North test on Monday, August 25. Catholic Central will play a Tigers squad coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Shawnee (Springfield, OH). The Tigers record now stands at 0-1.
