August 21, 2025: Cameron, NC 28326 The Union Pines Vikings football squad scored 26 points and limited the visiting Cape Fear Colts to 24 in the Vikings non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Vikings now sport a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Pinecrest for a non-league test on Thursday, August 28. Union Pines will meet a Patriots squad coming off a 32-12 non-league win over Cleveland (Clayton, NC). The Patriots record now stands at 1-0.
The Colts (0-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Seventy-First (Fayetteville, NC). The Falcons enter the non-league challenge with a 1-0 record. In their last challenge, Seventy-First held off Terry Sanford (Fayetteville, NC), 30-0, in a non-league challenge.
