The Marfa Shorthorns held off the visiting Rankin Red Devils volleyball team by a score of 3-2 in Tuesday's non-league test.

The Shorthorns now have a 1-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Socorro for a non-league test on Friday, August 25. Marfa will confront a Bulldogs team coming off a 3-1 non-league loss to Del Valle (El Paso, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 8-4.

The Red Devils (5-10) will now prepare for their test against Crane (Crane, TX). The Cranes enter the non-league test with a 1-6 record. In their last challenge, Crane was nudged by San Angelo Texas Leadership Charter Academy (San Angelo, TX), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.
