North Carolina High School Football - Central Cabarrus thwarted by Sun Valley
August 22, 2024: Monroe, NC 28110 Sun Valley Spartans (Monroe, NC) followers went home in high spirits Thursday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting Central Cabarrus Vikings (Concord, NC), 24-2 in a non-league battle.
With the win, Sun Valley advances its record to 1-0 on the season. The Spartans travel to Anson (Wadesboro, NC) to play the Bearcats in a non-league battle on Thursday, August 29. The Bearcats go into the battle with a record of 0-1. Anson lost 35-6 in their recent non-league battle against North Stanly (New London, NC)
The Vikings now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they travel to Piedmont for a non-league battle on Thursday, August 29. Central Cabarrus will play a Panthers team coming off a 16-13 non-league loss to Concord (Concord, NC). The Panthers record now stands at 0-1.
