August 22, 2024: Barnesville, GA 30204 Fans at Thursday's non-league contest between the Jonesboro Cardinals (Jonesboro, GA) and the host Lamar County Trojans (Barnesville, GA), observed Jonesboro's volleyball team top Lamar County by a count of 2-0.
The Cardinals (7-5) will now prepare for their contest against Sacred Heart (Louisville, KY). The Valkyries enter the non-league contest with a 1-0 record. In their last contest, Sacred Heart notched a victory over Atherton (Louisville, KY), 3-0, in a league contest.
Next, the Trojans battle the Upson-Lee Knights (Thomaston, GA) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, August 22. Lamar County will attempt to move on its 4-2 season record. The Knights enter the contest with a 5-5 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Griffin (Griffin, GA).
