Spectators at Friday's non-league bout between the Miller Falcons (Corning, OH) and the host Alexander Spartans (Albany, OH), saw Miller's football team nip Alexander by a final score of 18-15.

With the win, Miller advances its record to 1-0 on the season. The Falcons travel to Frontier (New Matamoras, OH) to encounter the Cougars in a non-league bout on Friday, August 29. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 1-0. Frontier won 36-13 in their recent non-league bout against Bridgeport (Bridgeport, OH)

The Spartans now own a 0-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to East for a non-league contest on Friday, August 29. Alexander will confront a Tartans squad coming off a 14-6 non-league loss to Southeastern (Chillicothe, OH). The Tartans record now stands at 0-1.
