August 22, 2025: Cincinnati, OH 45244 The Archbishop McNicholas Rockets football squad scored 34 points and limited the host Turpin Spartans to 28 in the Rockets non-league triumph on Friday.
The Rockets now hold a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Wheelersburg for a non-league test on Friday, August 29. Archbishop McNicholas will meet a Pirates squad coming off a 43-8 non-league win over KIPP Columbus (Columbus, OH). The Pirates record now stands at 1-0.
With the defeat, Turpin drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Little Miami (Morrow, OH) to face the Panthers in a Eastern Cincinnati game on Friday, August 29. The Panthers enter the game with a record of 0-1. Little Miami lost 21-14 in their recent non-league game against Jackson (Jackson, OH)
