Canton Warriors (Canton, PA) fans exited the stadium in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team overcome the visiting Northwest Area Rangers (Shickshinny, PA), 17-6 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Warriors meet the South Williamsport Mountaineers (South Williamsport, PA) in a non-league test, on Friday, August 29. Canton will attempt to move on its 1-0 season record. The Mountaineers come into the test with a 0-1 record after their 47-27 non-league loss to Athens (Athens, PA).

With the defeat, Northwest Area drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Rangers host Athens (Athens, PA) to meet the Wildcats in a non-league test on Friday, August 29. The Wildcats come into the test with a record of 1-0. Athens won 47-27 in their recent non-league challenge against South Williamsport (South Williamsport, PA)
