Georgia High School Football - McIntosh County Academy can't hold off Charlton County

The Charlton County Indians held off the visiting McIntosh County Academy Buccaneers football squad by a count of 40-36 in Friday's non-league test.

The Indians now hold a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they host Jeff Davis for a non-league test on Friday, August 29. Charlton County will meet a Yellowjackets squad coming off a 63-7 non-league loss to Rutland (Macon, GA). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 1-1.

The Buccaneers (1-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Emanuel County Institute (Twin City, GA). The Bulldogs go into the A D2 Region 3 challenge with a 0-2 record. In their last challenge, Emanuel County Institute was edged by Swainsboro (Swainsboro, GA), 27-13, in a non-league challenge.
