The Eastern Greene Thunderbirds football team (Bloomfield, IN), was crushed 58-7 in Friday's non-league bout with the host Springs Valley Blackhawks (French Lick, IN)

With the win, Springs Valley advances its record to 1-0 on the year. The Blackhawks travel to Mitchell (Mitchell, IN) to confront the Bluejackets in a Patoka Lake contest on Friday, August 29. The Bluejackets enter the contest with a record of 0-1. Mitchell lost 38-0 in their recent non-league contest against Edgewood (Ellettsville, IN)

Coming up next, the Thunderbirds confront the North Knox Warriors (Bicknell, IN) in a Southwest contest, on Friday, August 29. Eastern Greene will attempt to better on its 0-1 season record. The Warriors enter the bout with a 0-1 record after their 42-7 non-league loss to Sullivan (Sullivan, IN).
