In Friday's non-league match, the host Van Buren Black Knights football squad scored a good 37-6 triumph over the Fostoria Redmen.

The Black Knights (1-0) will now prepare for their match against Leipsic (Leipsic, OH). The Vikings come into the Blanchard Valley match with a 1-0 record. In their last match, Leipsic defeated Lake (Millbury, OH), 56-35, in a non-league match.
