The West Laurens Raiders walloped the visiting Groves Rebels football team by a score of 49-0 in Friday's non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Raiders face the North Clayton Eagles (College Park, GA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, August 29. West Laurens will attempt to improve on its 1-0 season record. The Eagles come into the outing with a 2-0 record after their 40-6 non-league win over Drew (Riverdale, GA).

With the defeat, Groves drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Rebels host Jenkins (Savannah, GA) to clash with the Warriors in a AAA Region 3 outing on Friday, August 29. The Warriors come into the outing with a record of 0-1. Jenkins lost 43-20 in their recent non-league outing against Lowndes (Valdosta, GA)
