August 22, 2025: Newtown Square, PA 19073 The Marple Newtown Fightin' Tigers football team scored 42 points and held the visiting Hatboro-Horsham Hatters to 21 in the Fightin' Tigers non-league victory on Friday.
In their next game, the Fightin' Tigers face the Springfield Cougars (Springfield, PA) in a Central challenge, on Friday, August 29. Marple Newtown will attempt to improve on its 1-0 season record. The Cougars enter the challenge with a 1-0 record after their 33-31 non-league win over Perkiomen Valley (Collegeville, PA).
The Hatters (0-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Henderson (West Chester, PA). The Warriors enter the non-league challenge with a 1-0 record. In their last challenge, Henderson ran past Plymouth Whitemarsh (Plymouth Meeting, PA), 40-35, in a non-league outing.
