Northwest Halifax Vikings (Littleton, NC) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team triumph over the visiting Hobgood Charter Raiders (Hobgood, NC), 38-6 in a non-league test.

The Vikings now hold a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Bear Grass Charter for a non-league test on Friday, August 29. Northwest Halifax will meet a Bears squad coming off a 19-12 non-league win over Wayne Christian (Goldsboro, NC). The Bears record now stands at 1-0.

With the defeat, Hobgood Charter drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Raiders host Triangle Math & Science (Apex, NC) to play the Tigers in a non-league challenge on Friday, August 29. The Tigers go into the challenge with a record of 0-1. Triangle Math & Science lost 37-2 in their recent non-league challenge against GRACE Christian (Raleigh, NC)
