The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the North Pitt Panthers (Bethel, NC) and the visiting Martin County Gators (Williamston, NC), saw North Pitt's football team nip Martin County by a final score of 18-14.

With the win, North Pitt advances its record to 1-0 on the season. The Panthers travel to Ayden - Grifton (Ayden, NC) to encounter the Chargers in a non-league bout on Friday, August 29. The Chargers enter the contest with a record of 0-1. Ayden - Grifton lost 40-35 in their recent non-league contest against Princeton (Princeton, NC)
