McDonogh Eagles (Owings Mills, MD) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team triumph over the visiting Riverdale Baptist Crusaders (Upper Marlboro, MD), 48-6 in a non-league battle.

With the win, McDonogh improves its record to 1-0 on the season. The Eagles travel to St. Anthony's (Melville, NY) to meet the Friars in a non-league match on Friday, August 29. The Friars come into the match with a record of 0-0.

Coming up next, the Crusaders meet the St. Joseph Regional Green Knights (Montvale, NJ) in a non-league match, on Saturday, August 30. Riverdale Baptist will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
