The Taft Toreadors got by the visiting Nordhoff Rangers football team by a score of 20-17 in Friday's non-league test.

The Toreadors now sport a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Monroe for a non-league test on Thursday, August 28. Taft will meet a Vikings squad coming off a 25-24 non-league win over Chatsworth (Chatsworth, CA). The Vikings record now stands at 1-0.

With the defeat, Nordhoff drops to 0-1 on the year. The Rangers host Trinity Classical Academy (Valencia, CA) to face the Knights in a non-league challenge on Friday, August 29. The Knights enter the challenge with a record of 0-1. Trinity Classical Academy lost 7-6 in their recent non-league challenge against San Fernando (San Fernando, CA)
