August 22, 2025: Longmont, CO 80504 Lowndes Vikings (Valdosta, GA) supporters exited the stadium satisfied Friday as they witnessed their softball team tip the host Mead Mavericks (Longmont, CO), 4-1 in a non-league game.
With the triumph, Lowndes improves its record to 3-3 on the year. The Vikings travel to Arapahoe (Centennial, CO) to play the Warriors in a non-league game on Saturday, August 23. The Warriors enter the game with a record of 4-0. Arapahoe won 8-0 in their recent non-league game against Grand Junction Central (Grand Junction, CO)
The Mavericks now hold a 0-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Monarch for a 5A/4A/3A Granite Peaks match on Tuesday, August 26. Mead will battle a Coyotes team coming off a 14-6 non-league loss to Westminster (Westminster, CO). The Coyotes record now stands at 1-4.
