Match Summary
The Pirates started the JV game with high energy and good focus. The girls played hard returning the ball often but had many hits fall out of bounds. Unfortunately in the second set they took a beating with Union Co. number 18 serving. They could not return a solid pass in bounds. We applaud her for her strong hit and we applaud our JV girls as they were up against Unions varsity team, as most of the players are swing players for both JV and Varsity for Union Co. As a first year team with no prior experience, being able to get 13 points in the first set is commendable. Highlights go to Cyndel Holman and Kenley Brown for serving an ace, Jada Tooley and Taylie Proffitt for great digs, and Harlee Caudill for a beautiful tip to score. The MVP of the game was Natalie Harville. Natalie recovered many passes and took control on the court to ensure the ball remained in play.
