Ohio High School Soccer - Avon Lake nudges St. Vincent-St. Mary
August 23, 2022: Akron, OH 44303 Avon Lake Shoremen (Avon Lake, OH) fans were thrilled Tuesday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host St. Vincent-St. Mary Fighting Irish (Akron, OH), 3-2 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Shoremen confront the Bay Rockets (Bay Village, OH) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, August 29. Avon Lake will attempt to better on its 3-1 season record. The Rockets enter the challenge with a 2-2 record after their 3-1 non-league win over Ontario (Mansfield, OH).
The Fighting Irish now have a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they host Orrville for a non-league challenge on Saturday, August 27. St. Vincent-St. Mary will confront a Red Riders team coming off a 9-0 league win over Tuslaw (Massillon, OH). The Red Riders record now stands at 3-0.
