Match Summary
West lost a hard fought 4 set match tonight to the Clayton Comets, a good team that came ready to play the Lady Wildcats. West prevailed in the first set 25 - 23, a testament to the Lady Wildcats getting more comfortable playing tight matches and yet finding ways to win. The 2nd set was just as close with the Lady Comets closing out the set with a 5 - 2 run. Clayton played really well in the 3rd and 4th sets, winning each set 17 - 25. The Comet girls made many phenomenal digs - there were so many excellent attacks by West that the visitors found a way to keep the point alive and thwart a West comeback. Still, there are many good takeaways from tonight, and the Wildcat girls will continue to improve. Conference play begins next week, and these girls should be excited for what lies ahead this season.
