In Friday's non-league match, the visiting A.L. Brown Wonders football squad scored a close 28-26 victory over the West Rowan Falcons.

The Wonders (1-0) will now prepare for their match against Northwest Cabarrus (Concord, NC). The Trojans enter the non-league match with a 0-1 record. In their last match, Northwest Cabarrus was nudged by West Cabarrus (Concord, NC), 28-21, in a non-league match.

Coming up next, the Falcons confront the Davie War Eagles (Mocksville, NC) in a non-league match, on Friday, August 30. West Rowan will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The War Eagles enter the match with a 0-1 record after their 66-20 non-league loss to Mooresville (Mooresville, NC).
