The Belgreen Bulldogs football squad scored 20 points and limited the visiting Shoals Christian Flame to 6 in the Bulldogs non-league triumph on Friday.

The Bulldogs now hold a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Tharptown for a 2A Region 8 test on Friday, September 6.

With the defeat, Shoals Christian drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Flame host Brilliant (Brilliant, AL) to meet the Tigers in a non-league test on Friday, August 30. The Tigers come into the test with a record of 1-0. Brilliant won 28-6 in their recent non-league test against Waterloo (Waterloo, AL)
