Mifflin County Huskies (Lewistown, PA) followers went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team triumph over the host Central Mountain Wildcats (Mill Hall, PA), 42-6 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Mifflin County advances its record to 1-0 on the season. The Huskies travel to Northern York (Dillsburg, PA) to play the Polar Bears in a Mid-Penn - Keystone battle on Friday, August 30. The Polar Bears go into the battle with a record of 0-1. Northern York lost 31-14 in their recent non-league battle against Spring Grove (Spring Grove, PA)

The Wildcats now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they travel to Bloomsburg for a non-league battle on Friday, August 30. Central Mountain will play a Panthers team coming off a 45-7 league loss to Danville (Danville, PA). The Panthers record now stands at 0-1.
