August 23, 2024: Cincinnati, OH 45219 The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Hughes BIG RED (Cincinnati, OH) and the visiting Dunbar Wolverines (Dayton, OH), witnessed Hughes's football squad knock off Dunbar by a tally of 28-8.
The BIG RED (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against Dixie Heights (Edgewood, KY). The Colonels enter the non-league contest with a 0-2 record. In their last contest, Dixie Heights was toppled by Simon Kenton (Independence, KY), 50-35, in a non-league contest.
Coming up next, the Wolverines battle the Big Walnut Golden Eagles (Sunbury, OH) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, August 29. Dunbar will attempt to better on its 0-1 season record. The Golden Eagles enter the contest with a 0-1 record after their 20-0 non-league loss to Bishop Watterson (Columbus, OH).
