The West Charlotte Lions were victorious over the visiting Palisades Pumas football team by a score of 36-6 in Friday's non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Lions face the Monroe Redhawks (Monroe, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, August 30. West Charlotte will attempt to improve on its 1-0 season record. The Redhawks enter the challenge with a 1-0 record after their 32-7 non-league win over Central Davidson (Lexington, NC).

The Pumas (0-1) will now prepare for their challenge against East Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC). The Eagles enter the non-league challenge with a 0-1 record. In their last challenge, East Mecklenburg lost by Berry (Charlotte, NC), 10-6, in a non-league challenge.
