The Penncrest Lions football squad scored 33 points and limited the visiting Sun Valley Vanguards to 20 in the Lions non-league triumph on Friday.

The Lions now hold a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Strath Haven for a Central test on Thursday, August 29. Penncrest will meet a Panthers squad coming off a 49-6 non-league win over Interboro (Prospect Park, PA). The Panthers record now stands at 1-0.

With the defeat, Sun Valley drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Vanguards host Great Valley (Malvern, PA) to meet the Patriots in a Ches-Mont - American test on Friday, August 30. The Patriots come into the test with a record of 1-0. Great Valley won 34-22 in their recent league test against Oxford (Oxford, PA)
