In Saturday's non-league test, the visiting Midland Chemics volleyball squad scored a tight 2-1 win over the Birch Run Panthers.

With the win, Midland advances its record to 2-0 on the season. The Chemics travel to Central (Bay City, MI) to face the Wolves in a Saginaw Valley test on Tuesday, September 9. The Wolves go into the test with a record of 0-0.

The Panthers now sport a 2-1 record. They play next when they travel to Bay City Western for a non-league challenge on Saturday, August 23.
