August 23, 2025: Oxnard, CA 93036 Cate Rams (Carpinteria, CA) boosters left the game thrilled Saturday as they saw their volleyball squad nudge the host Rio Mesa Spartans (Oxnard, CA), 1-0 in a non-league test.
With the win, Cate improves its record to 3-2 on the campaign. The Rams travel to Laguna Blanca (Santa Barbara, CA) to meet the Owls in a non-league challenge on Saturday, August 23. The Owls come into the challenge with a record of 0-3. Laguna Blanca lost 3-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Villanova Prep (Ojai, CA)
Next, the Spartans meet the Santa Paula Cardinals (Santa Paula, CA) in a non-league test, on Saturday, August 23. Rio Mesa will attempt to improve on its 4-4 season record. The Cardinals go into the test with a 0-3 record after their 3-1 non-league loss to Rio Mesa (Oxnard, CA).
