Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Salem Quakers (Salem, OH) and the visiting United Golden Eagles (Hanoverton, OH), observed Salem's volleyball team hold off United by a count of 2-1.

The Quakers (1-2) will now prepare for their contest against Heartland Christian (Columbiana, OH). The Lions go into the non-league battle with a 2-1 record. In their last battle, Heartland Christian tipped Toronto (Toronto, OH), 3-1, in a non-league battle.
