Newark Norsemen (Newark, IL) supporters left the game in high spirits Wednesday as they observed their volleyball squad top the host Marquette Crusaders (Ottawa, IL), 2-0 in a non-league match.

Next up, the Norsemen clash with the Sandwich Indians (Sandwich, IL) in a non-league match, on Monday, August 29. Newark will attempt to advance on its 2-0 season record. The Indians come into the match with a 1-1 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Hinckley-Big Rock (Hinckley, IL).

With the loss, Marquette drops to 0-2 on the campaign. The Crusaders travel to Ridgeview (Colfax, IL) to clash with the Mustangs in a non-league match on Saturday, August 27. The Mustangs come into the match with a record of 0-1. Ridgeview lost 2-1 in their recent non-league match against Blue Ridge (Farmer City, IL)
