August 24, 2023: Goochland, VA 23063 The crowd at Thursday's non-league bout between the Maggie Walker (Richmond, VA) and the host Goochland Bulldogs (Goochland, VA), saw Maggie Walker's volleyball squad nip Goochland by a tally of 2-1.
With the win, Maggie Walker upgrades its record to 2-0 on the year. The travel to Nottoway (Nottoway, VA) to play the Cougars in a non-league bout on Tuesday, August 29. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 0-0.
The Bulldogs now own a 1-1 record. They play next when they host William Monroe for a non-league bout on Monday, August 28. Goochland will play a Dragons squad coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Madison County (Madison, VA). The Dragons record now stands at 2-0.
