August 24, 2023: Southern Pines, NC 28387 Southwestern Randolph Cougars (Asheboro, NC) supporters left the game in high spirits Thursday as they observed their volleyball squad top the host Pinecrest Patriots (Southern Pines, NC), 2-0 in a non-league match.
Next up, the Cougars clash with the Asheboro Blue Comets (Asheboro, NC) in a non-league match, on Monday, August 28. Southwestern Randolph will attempt to advance on its 2-1 season record. The Blue Comets come into the match with a 1-4 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Wheatmore (Trinity, NC).
With the loss, Pinecrest drops to 2-3 on the campaign. The Patriots travel to Middle Creek (Apex, NC) to clash with the Mustangs in a non-league match on Saturday, August 26. The Mustangs come into the match with a record of 4-0. Middle Creek won 2-0 in their recent non-league match against Millbrook (Raleigh, NC)
