Wheeler Bearcats (Valparaiso, IN) supporters left the game in high spirits Thursday as they observed their volleyball squad top the visiting Lake Station Edison Fighting Eagles (Lake Station, IN), 3-0 in a league match.

Next up, the Bearcats clash with the Calumet New Tech Warriors (Gary, IN) in a Greater South Shore match, on Monday, August 28. Wheeler will attempt to advance on its 5-3 season record. The Warriors come into the match with a 0-4 record after their 3-0 league loss to Hammond Bishop Noll (Hammond, IN).

With the loss, Lake Station Edison drops to 1-7 on the campaign. The Fighting eagles travel to Washington Township (Valparaiso, IN) to clash with the Senators in a non-league match on Saturday, August 26. The Senators come into the match with a record of 2-7.
