August 24, 2024: Lafayette, TN 37083 The Macon County Tigers felled the visiting Westmoreland Eagles football team by a score of 31-7 in Saturday's non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Tigers face the Trousdale County Yellowjackets (Hartsville, TN) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, August 30. Macon County will attempt to improve on its 1-0 season record. The Yellowjackets go into the challenge with a 0-1 record after their 37-6 non-league loss to Livingston Academy (Livingston, TN).
The Eagles (0-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Clay County (Celina, TN). The Bulldogs go into the non-league challenge with a 1-0 record. In their last challenge, Clay County toppled York Institute (Jamestown, TN), 42-30, in a non-league challenge.
