Kentucky High School Soccer - Lafayette knocks off Montgomery County
August 24, 2024: Mt. Sterling, KY 40353 Fans at Saturday's non-league battle between the Lafayette Generals (Lexington, KY) and the host Montgomery County Indians (Mt. Sterling, KY), saw Lafayette's soccer squad knock off Montgomery County by a count of 3-0.
The Generals (1-3) will now prepare for their battle against Bethlehem (Bardstown, KY). The Eagles/Banshees enter the non-league battle with a 3-2 record. In their last battle, Bethlehem by Frederick Douglass (Lexington, KY), 2-1, in a non-league battle.
Next up, the Indians confront the Franklin County Flyers (Frankfort, KY) in a non-league battle, on Monday, August 26. Montgomery County will attempt to upgrade on its 4-2 season record. The Flyers enter the battle with a 2-2 record after their 2-1 league loss to Frankfort (Frankfort, KY).
