August 24, 2024: Downey, CA 90242 Loyola Cubs (Los Angeles, CA) fans went home in high spirits Saturday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the host St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy Warriors (Downey, CA), 14-0 in a non-league battle.
With the win, Loyola improves its record to 1-0 on the season. The Cubs travel to Damien (La Verne, CA) to play the Spartans in a non-league battle on Thursday, August 29. The Spartans go into the battle with a record of 0-0.
