The South Webster Jeeps prevailed the host Valley Indians volleyball team by a score of 3-0 in Tuesday's league test.

The Jeeps now have a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Waverly for a Southern Ohio II match on Thursday, August 27. South Webster will battle a Tigers squad coming off a 3-1 league win over Portsmouth West (West Portsmouth, OH). The Tigers record now stands at 1-0.

With the loss, Valley drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Indians travel to Oak Hill (Oak Hill, OH) to confront the Oaks in a Southern Ohio II test on Thursday, August 27. The Oaks enter the test with a record of 0-2. Oak Hill lost 3-0 in their recent league test against Northwest (McDermott, OH)

The Lady Jeeps defeated the Lady Indians in straight sets last night: 25-14, 25-7, 25-9. Bella Claxon led the offensive front pounding a team high 11 kills followed by Bri Claxon with 6, Faith Maloney with 5, and Gwen Messer with 4. Bella Claxon also dished out 7 assists with Kendall Bender doling out a match-high 16 assists. Defensively, the Jeeps were led by Graci Claxon who had 12 digs in the contest while Bella Claxon contributed 9, and Bri Claxon, Kendall Bender, and Gwen Messer all added 7. From the service line, Gwen Messer led the way with five aces and 18 points. In set three, the score was 12-9 and Gwen served the remaining 13 points, leading the Jeeps to a victory. Additionally, Bender contributed 3 aces and 13 points while Faith Maloney added 9 points and Bri and Grace Claxon added 8 apiece.
