The Americas Trail Blazers football team (El Paso, TX), was beaten 24-16 in Thursday's non-league challenge with the visiting Midland Christian Mustangs (Midland, TX)

The Mustangs (1-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Regents (Austin, TX). The Knights come into the non-league challenge with a 1-0 record. In their last challenge, Regents achieved victory over Central Catholic (San Antonio, TX), 35-20, in a non-league challenge.

The Trail Blazers now sport a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Odessa for a non-league challenge on Thursday, September 1. Americas will meet a Bronchos team coming off a 42-39 non-league win over Monterey (Lubbock, TX). The Bronchos record now stands at 1-0.
