In Thursday's non-league match, the visiting North Ridgeville Rangers football squad scored a close 21-20 victory over the Valley Forge Patriots.

In their next game, the Rangers clash with the Normandy Invaders (Parma, OH) in a non-league match, on Friday, September 2. North Ridgeville will attempt to move on its 2-0 season record. The Invaders enter the match with a 2-0 record after their 37-0 non-league win over Cuyahoga Falls (Cuyahoga Falls, OH).

The Patriots (1-1) will now prepare for their match against Rocky River (Rocky River, OH). The Pirates enter the non-league match with a 0-2 record. In their last match, Rocky River was nudged by Firelands (Oberlin, OH), 31-24, in a non-league match.
