The crowd at Thursday's non-league contest between the Sharyland Rattlers (Mission, TX) and the host Pace Vikings (Brownsville, TX), observed Sharyland's football squad thwart Pace by a tally of 34-17.

The Rattlers now possess a 1-0 record. They play next when they host Hanna for a non-league contest on Friday, September 2. Sharyland will play a Golden Eagles squad coming off a 31-28 non-league loss to McAllen Memorial (McAllen, TX). The Golden Eagles record now stands at 0-1.
