August 25, 2022: Hendersonville, TN 37075 Greenwood Gators (Bowling Green, KY) supporters were pleased Thursday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Pope John Paul II Knights (Hendersonville, TN), 1-0 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Gators confront the Castle Knights (Newburgh, IN) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, August 27. Greenwood will attempt to move on its 5-1 season record. The Knights enter the challenge with a 4-0 record after their 6-0 league win over Evansville Central (Evansville, IN).
The Knights now possess a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Franklin Road Academy for a non-league challenge on Monday, August 29. Pope John Paul II will confront a Panthers team coming off a 7-1 league win over Columbia Academy (Columbia, TN). The Panthers record now stands at 3-1.
