August 25, 2022: Yanceyville, NC 27379 The McMichael Phoenix football team (Mayodan, NC), was ripped 44-12 in Thursday's non-league challenge with the host Bartlett Yancey Buccaneers (Yanceyville, NC)
The Buccaneers (1-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Louisburg (Louisburg, NC). The Warriors come into the non-league challenge with a 1-1 record. In their last challenge, Louisburg was ripped by Bunn (Bunn, NC), 22-6, in a non-league challenge.
The Phoenix now sport a 0-2 record. They take the field next when they host South Stokes for a non-league challenge on Thursday, September 1. McMichael will meet a Sauras team coming off a 24-14 non-league win over Bishop McGuinness (Kernersville, NC). The Sauras record now stands at 1-1.
